晨读经典英语诗歌欣赏：摘罢苹果　　My long two-pointed ladder's sticking through a tree
　　Toward heaven still,
　　And there's a barrel that I didn't fill

! r5 ^! z' V* E& a% I. y　　Apples I didn't pick upon some bough.
; Q( s+ a: Y3 e) M7 A: F: k　　But I am done with apple-picking now.
* N8 g) I5 p  C% w8 R　　Essence of winter sleep is on the night,
　　The scent of apples: I am drowsing off.
& O$ Y2 ~3 {$ g& }4 X' I# N' m- a　　I cannot rub the strangeness from my sight
　　I got from looking through a pane of glass
# t5 r4 e) ^: f$ W2 i8 j　　I skimmed this morning from the drinking trough
/ x+ g! e9 N2 e9 q, ^5 b, M4 O　　And held against the world of hoary grass.
　　It melted, and I let it fall and break.

8 U, L$ C% f$ P- P9 s8 ?; r　　Upon my way to sleep before it fell,
　　And I could tell
" {# ~6 s1 u$ o/ N) j1 [" S　　What form my dreaming was about to take.
# }- ?) \) o( ^3 w/ O, q: w( g7 n& M) U　　Magnified apples appear and disappear,
　　Stem end and blossom end,
) l8 W% |% E3 y( J& s# K　　And every fleck of russet showing clear.
　　My instep arch not only keeps the ache,
　　It keeps the pressure of a ladder-round.
　　I feel the ladder sway as the boughs bend.
　　And I keep hearing from the cellar bin

　　For I have had too much
　　Of apple-picking: I am overtired

% M* b1 y& p$ k. X　　Cherish in hand, lift down, and not let fall.

　　That struck the earth,
　　No matter if not bruised or spiked with stubble,
　　Went surely to the cider-apple heap
　　As of no worth.
　　One can see what will trouble

　　Were he not gone,

4 {) y% e, d! S　　长梯穿过树顶，竖起两个尖端
8 I5 g* U# _! ^9 y  R$ {/ J* k( W　　刺向沉静的天穹。
　　梯子脚下，有一只木桶，
0 [. J8 i  ^3 s/ K　　我还没给装满，也许
9 X" o/ a( f) Y+ `/ O　　还有两三个苹果留在枝头
/ Y, i1 N  C  v; a# _% V2 w$ T　　我还没摘下。不过这会儿，
　　我算是把摘苹果这活干完了。
　　夜晚在散发着冬眠的气息
　　——那扑鼻的苹果香;

　　我揉揉眼睛，
　　却揉不掉眼前的奇怪——

　　像一块窗玻璃，隔窗望向

　　冰溶了，我由它掉下.碎掉。

　　我还说得出，我的梦
　　会是怎么样一个形状。
　　膨胀得好大的苹果，忽隐忽现，
　　一头是梗枝，一头是花儿，
( Q/ @+ V$ A$ u. F0 c( R　　红褐色的斑点，全看得请。
  j; l& S0 z7 n; R　　好酸疼哪.我的脚底板.
　　可还得使劲吃住梯子档的分量，
  F" I: T) X, p7 i0 R　　我感到那梯子
　　随着弯倒的树枝，在摇晃。
( P  @6 A! T1 s　　耳边只听得不断的隆隆声——
　　一桶又一捅苹果往地窖里送。
　　摘这么些苹果，
6 f( i% W( u% w0 @, i　　尽够我受了;我本是盼望
5 F" r2 n9 M( S　　来个大丰收，可这会儿已累坏了，
　　有千千万万的苹果你得去碰，
1 B8 t4 ?5 B: V7 ]9 t2 R6 _　　得轻轻地去拿，轻轻地去放.
% [  D9 ]: E( ]. R+ f+ ~9 ]3 q　　不能往地上掉。只要一掉地，
0 D  _% m1 ?/ [( b　　即使没碰伤，也没叫草梗扎破，
  h/ T1 h6 {: q+ v: q; g3 Q6 b( A　　只好全都堆在一边，去做苹果酒，
* ?" b" @) O% X& O, z　　算是不值一钱。
$ t$ r2 s( ~) S$ `　　你看吧，打扰我睡一觉的是什么，
5 Z; G( G8 c! A) ]4 f7 m5 {　　且不提这算不算睡一觉。
　　如果土拨鼠没有走开，
　　听我讲睡梦怎样来到我身边，
& A* ]  Y. M  a& L' Y　　那它就可以说，
　　这跟它的冬眠倒有些像，
2 K" \- T9 u6 m2 z; m　　或者说，这不过是人类的冬眠。
