         (1) When an action was happening during a period of time in the past, we use "Past Continuous Tense".
9 S$ O2 ?9 f3 Z* Z4 D1 m! {, _當一個動作是在過去某一段時間中正在進行的，我們便用「過去進行式」。
For example 例如：
2 W) z7 S6 M' }$ y  W0 r3 XThey were playing when Dad came home.

(2) When we change the verb into "Past Continuous Tense" form, we write the verb in the following ways:
was / were + _______ing
當我們用「過去進行式」時，要把動詞寫成這樣子:
was / were + _______ing

" m9 q! j' A. N! d7 E# n(3) Usually, we use the "Past Continuous Tense" with the "Simple Past Tense" and we would use "when" or "while" to join the two actions in the sentence.
