In English, we use different types of "punctuations" as follows:
在英文裡面有不同的標點符號:

(1) Full-stop　(句號) - " . "
We put "full-stop" at the end of a sentence.
我們會在句子的最尾加上句號。
We may also put "full-stop" after specific words like "Mr.", "Mrs." or "Dr."

0 |; A2 C% n! ]: m0 W" o" [/ nWe put "comma" in a sentence to separate different parts of it.
我們會在句子中間用逗號把不同部份分開。

(3) Question mark　(問號) - " ? "
We put "question mark" at the end of a question.
我們會在問題句的最後加上問號。

(4) Exclamation mark　(感嘆號) - " ! "
We put "exclamation mark" at the end of a sentence to emphasize the meanings.

(5) Inverted commas　(引號) - " 　　"  or　'　　'
) p/ I  t6 W4 w- x- w$ OWe use "inverted commas" to quote specific words spoken by someone.
/ d! F5 v: X. I9 X我們用引號來特別指出特定的字。

(6) Apostrophe　(撇號) - "　'　"
We use this punctuation to express that a thing belongs to a certain person or some people.
我們用這個標點符號來表示一個東西是屬於某人或某些人的。

(7) Colon　(冒號) - " : "
We use "colon" to express some examples.
我們用冒號來帶出句子中的例子。

9 p- Z* V: G7 N9 O$ k' oWe can use "semi-colon" to separate two short sentences which have similar meanings.

(9) Dash　(破折號) - " - "
We use "dash" in a sentence to emphasize an explanation or a part of a sentence.
我們用破折號來強調句子中一個解釋或一個句子的部份。
